Yep, that’s right. I’ve reached the FILTHY depths of Sindy dolls already. This early in my Blog & Youtube career. And for that, I am very sorry. But it’s something I felt I had to do, mainly so I could get these objects out of my house and forget about the whole damn saga. Anyway let me talk about Sindy for a few moments, because, actually I’m vaguely interested, and if you’re reading this, then I assume you are as well…. either that or you’re just MENTAL.
So, Sindy, with the slogan “The doll you love to dress” was a BRITISH fashion doll created by Pedigree dolls & toys in 1963. She was created as a cross atlantic rival to Barbie, with Sindy choosing to go down the wholesome, British route of what was fashionable at the time. Indeed it was the best selling toy in the UK between 1968 and 1970, but unfortunately it didn’t fare well in the States. Hasbro bought the rights to the doll in the 80’s and made her look more American, however this enraged Barbie’s owner, Mattel and they filed for copyright infringement. Subsequently Hasbro remodelled Sindy’s face in the 90’s to differentiate her from the Barbie shite.
Sindy’s popularity declined during the 90’s and she was eventually sold back to Pedigree (not chum), and relaunched in 1999, she was then sold again in 2014 to New Moons.
Anyway, that’s enough about Sindy, friggin hell, let’s take a look at the stuff wot I got.
